Camp: How can you be a hero and be safe at the same time? R.Hero Camp is a camp for 8-12 years old to explore the world of their heroes such as firefighters, EMTs and law enforcement. The camp is taught by real heroes who will be teaching hands-on classes showing the students CPR/First Aid, Fire Safety and Water Rescue. The camp will also have guest visitors including the Nebraska State Patrol and their K9 unit. By the end of the day your child will learn how to earn their “spots” while being safe in the process.

The History: The Hero In You Foundation Bunni and Rick Benaron founded The Hero In You Foundation, which is dedicated to honoring the heroes in our lives and inspiring kids to want to be a hero in their own life. By installing large metal Dalmatian puppy sculptures in public places, children and their parents, caregivers and teachers have a visual reminder and conversation starter about the traits of a hero – respect, honor, bravery and compassion for others. Children can further explore what makes a hero with a fun brightly illustrated children’s book and activity lesson sheets. In “R. HERO” A Dog’s Tale, Rocket along with his family and friends learn how he and others can earn hero spots by helping others. The mission of The Hero in You Foundation is to celebrate today’s heroes while inspiring the next generation of heroes. For more information on R.Hero please go to www.r-hero.org
